Pixelasia Productions Dili was founded in Timor-Leste's capital in December 2011 by German director Lena Lenzen. Since then we have been constantly growing, not only in size but also in experience.
We are now a vibrant mix of Timorese and internationals, including freelancers from Australia, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines and Portugal. We are the go to address for high quality videoproduction in Dili - produced locally in Asia's youngest nation.
Our Portfolio
As a full-service audiovisual production and events company, we produce corporate, educational and promotional videos, TV, Radio and Cinema commercials and documentaries, with state-of-the-art equipment. We also offer production services for clients from abroad.
We organise corporate and charity events, concerts, (international) conferences and road shows. Since 2019, Dili International Film Festival (DIFF) brings entertainment and education to film lovers in Timor-Leste.
Our Story
With a solid 25-year foundation in the film industry, Lena Lenzen, founder, and director of Pixelasia, has explored both sides of the camera across diverse landscapes. Formerly directing video clips and commercials worldwide, her focus has shifted to understanding the human aspects of storytelling.Since 2010, being based in Timor-Leste has provided a unique backdrop for exploring the dynamics of a rapidly developing country and discovering compelling narratives.
At the heart of Pixelasia’s projects lies a commitment to inclusivity and gender equality. Catering to a broad spectrum of clients, from the Presidency of Timor-Leste to UN Agencies, local and international organizations, and the private sector, Lena brings leadership, marketing acumen, and communication skills to the table. The company specializes in developing Social Behaviour Change Campaigns, often taking the form of mobile cinema road shows.
Pixelasia collaborates with Timorese and international crew members, spanning all aspects of audiovisual production and event organization. Hosting interns and volunteers from various countries, the company also engages experts for specific projects or as mentors for young professionals. Through the Dili International Film Festival, Pixelasia facilitates training sessions and master classes, fostering a platform for cultural exchange among filmmakers.

Creative Services
We have produced award-winning documentaries such as "Running Far" about a Timorese runner at the New York Marathon or "The Road to acceptance" for the LGBTI community of Timor-Leste.
Our superheroes "Super Trainer" and "Feto Fantastiku" show how business can be better and conflicts can be solved without using violence, and our everyday heroes showcase their strength and determination in our internationally acclaimed documentaries.
Events
We provide event organisation in Dili, including concerts, conferences, road shows, film festivals and corporate celebrations.
Working together with a range of clients from government sectors to international companies we have extensive experience in planning events in Timor-Leste.
Radio
We develop and produce radio spots – In Tetun for local radio stations and in English to be broadcasted on our own radio station here at Pixelasia, M3 Radio Dili. Since the beginning we have worked closely with our Timorese crew to ensure that we understand our target group and use appropriate language or slang - in Dili and in the districts.
